“It’s not easy” – Fabinho rubbishes Kylian Mbappe’s claims that Brazil and Argentina don’t play games at a high level to get to World Cup

Liverpool midfielder Fabinho has reacted to Kylian Mbappe’s taunts in South American football. The Brazilian claimed that his country and Argentina would top their respective groups if they played European countries in qualifying.

Mbappe sparked debate earlier this week when he claimed European football is miles ahead of South American. The Frenchman added that football isn’t very advanced there and therefore Brazil and Argentina don’t play quality football.

Fabinho responds to Kylian Mbappe: “It’s different, it’s not easy. We have to play in places like Bolivia, I don’t know if France played there. I think Brazil and Argentina would finish top of their group in the European qualifiers.” .” Well said by Fabinho. 🇦🇷🇧🇷 twitter.com/SC_ESPN/status…

Fabinho has now responded to the comments, boldly claiming that the two South American giants would dominate European football. He was quoted by ESPN’s Sports Center Saying:

“It’s different, it’s not easy. We have to play in places like Bolivia, I don’t know if France played there. I think Brazil and Argentina would finish top of their group in the European qualifiers.”

Kylian Mbappe sparks controversy with comments on South American football

Kylian Mbappe spoke to TNT Sport Brasil about the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He claimed that Brazil is one of the favorites but they don’t play against high-quality opponents regularly. He believes this would be a disadvantage for the South American team in the tournament, including Argentina.

“NA AMÉRICA DO SUL O FUTEBOL NÃO É TÃO AVANÇADO QUANTO NA EUROPE”! 😳🤔 Em EXCLUSIVA para a nossa @isabelapagliari, Mbappé falou sobre a próxima Copa do Mundo e mandou essa aí! 👀 O que Achou, torcedor? #Mbappe

The Frenchman went on to claim that European countries are “readier” for the World Cup. This is due to the UEFA Nations League and the rising quality of football in other countries on the continent. He said (via MSC Football):

“The UEFA Nations League is an example of that. We will fully prepare for the World Cup. Argentina and Brazil don’t play games at a high level to go to the World Cup. The football isn’t as advanced as it is in Europe.” and it shows when you look at the last World Cups.”

The PSG forward has been in the news this week for too many reasons. He became the talk of the town after stopping Real Madrid from signing a new deal with the Ligue 1 champions last week. Many expected the Frenchman to join Los Blancos after his contract with the Ligue1 side expired this summer.
