FRIENDS facing the heat this summer has been shown that people got it wrong when it comes to licking ice candy.

One TikTok user has admitted it was only after decades of bingeing on iced treats that she realized she’d failed even opening them.

Bear paw Sam posted footage of the moment the coin fell out of the ice cream packs instead of biting into the plastic.

The business coach, from Dartford in Kent, filmed her choosing not to try to chew open the lid but instead simply breaking it in half.

She captioned her online perception with the words “Tell me I’m not stupid?”

However, her apparent reveal received mixed reactions – with some viewers thanking her for the offer and only acknowledging their past mistakes, while others Others say they would choose alternatives.

The 25-second clip on her @shelbbrazzell account shows the new idea just popping into her head.

She told viewers: “If this works – oh, damn it.”

Snapshot of her hurrying away, followed by a scene of an ice candy broken in half, prompts Sam to sigh: “Forty-two years, I’ve been using my teeth.”

The idea seemed to come as a pleasant surprise to many – with many describing it as a “game changer”.

One viewer assured Sam: “Don’t worry, you’re not the only one who just learned something new.”

Another clearly impressed said: “Now have to go to the store to buy some more, so I can try this.”

The uploader was also told: “46 years old here and used my mouth or scissors”, “My whole childhood was a lie” and “I’ve been using my teeth since day one “.

Others commented, “How did I learn this now?” and “It’s an absolute game-changer – as kids, we used to chew on the end with our teeth.”

However, there are also more skeptical interventions.

One person trying to implement the recommendation said, “I’ve tried it and it works, but scissors are much better” – while another lamented, “No, it’s broken now.”
