James Gunn and Zack Snyder Spoke About Future of DC FIlms

Tweet anything about it James Gunn or DC Films and you will see it. Passionate fans are fed upt the DC films that Zack Snyder has helped over the past decade are all but forgotten. “Restore them Snyder verse‘ is a battle cry. Fire James Gunn is another. And a third was so ridiculous that Gunn publicly revealed that he and Snyder spoke and There’s nothing but good vibes There.

Replying to a tweet that was just a photo of swamp thing, a fan tweeted a hashtag that read “Sell the Snyderverse to Netflix.” Which is objectively hilarious. So much that Gunn answered“I have to say this has to be the craziest hashtag since 1) Netflix hasn’t expressed any such interest (although we’ve discussed other things) & 2) Zack hasn’t expressed any interest & seems happy doing what he does ( and yes we talked too).”

What were they talking about, another fan asked? “He contacted me to express his support for my decisions. He’s a great guy. Again, he seems really happy with the massive world building he’s doing right now.” Gunn answered.

So here are the key points:

• Gunn has spoken to Netflix about “other stuff.”

To be honest, I’m most intrigued by the last part. Gunn and his partner Peter Safran were very clear The new shows they want to work on will all be for HBO Max. Could Netflix get some things from Elseworlds? Is it an international deal? That’s a lot more interesting than two filmmakers who, not to mention, worked together 20 years on the remake of Dawn of the Dead (Snyder directed, Gunn wrote) and talked about their future projects.

As for the Snyder World Building, Army of the Dead is still a world on the table for him, but the next big thing is rebel moon, will be released this winter on Netflix. It’s basically Zack Snyders war of stars.
