Jason David Frank’s Final Film

Last year’s loss of Fan-favorite actor Jason David Frank was a blow to all of us. His commitment does not only go back to his star role Mighty Morphin Power Rangersbut his love and passion for the pop culture community in general was really unique and special. Now we have a chance to celebrate with what will be sold as Frank’s last film. Legend of the White Dragon.

Directed by Aaron Schoenke (Ninjak vs. the Valiant Universe), Legend of the White Dragon is a science fiction Fantasy epic that follows a legendary warrior (Frank) who returns to his hometown to protect it from a new evil. Frank is joined by genre veterans like Mark Dacascos (Only the strong, Brotherhood of the Wolf) and Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill) and Schoenke himself as the villain. Here is the first trailer.

look now Does that look incredibly cheesy? Naturally it does. Is that what you expected when I said Legend of the White Dragon and Jason David Frank? Naturally It is. And there’s nothing wrong with that. There’s a lot to be said for how great directors like Schoenke are able to make films We can only believe that the budget is more limited. One that if you can believe was supported by Kickstarter. But every time two masked warriors fight with lasers made of fantastic armor, you have our attention. Plus, it looks like Frank has a big, bold character to dive into here. A worthy farewell, one would hope.

Legend of the White Dragon Also starring are King Bach, David Ramsey, Jason Faunt, Rachel Brooke Smith, Ciara Hanna, Kevin Porter, Mayling Ng, Cerina Vincent, and Jenna Rae Frank, who happens to be Jason David’s daughter. There is no release date yet, but it is expected to be released in 2024. Keep an eye on the official website for more information.
