Ventura mentioned that he had previously looked at the Green Party but found them divided and dysfunctional. He revealed that he has been working closely with Andrew Yang, who is forming a new party called the Forward Party. The name “Forward Party” denotes a focus on the future rather than affiliation with the Democratic or Republican Party. They aim to get access to the ballot, field candidates, hold the convention and have a presidential candidate before the 2024 election. Ventura cites the fact that 60% of the country doesn’t want Joe. Biden or Donald Trump are reasons to pursue this new party.
“It’s more serious now than ever. I mean, I got acquainted with the Green Party two years ago until I discovered they were divided and completely dysfunctional. But now I have been communicating and working very closely with Andrew Yang, and Andrew Yang is the real person and Andrew Yang is forming the so-called Forward Party.
“And we call it that because we want to look to the future — we don’t want the past, we want nothing to do with the future. [Democrats] And [Republicans]. They are the past, this will be the Progressive Party, and we hope to have access to the ballot and the candidates on the list and have a presidential and congressional candidate in the 2024 election. And I’ll tell you why, Chris, right now, 60% of the country doesn’t want to [Joe] Biden or [Donald] Trumpet.”
During the interview, Ventura also mentioned that he was given full creative control by Russian President Vladimir Putin for his program on Russia Today (RT). However, it is worth noting that RT has faced considerable controversy and has been withdrawn from most major TV providers following Russia’s gratuitous invasion of Ukraine.
