Joe Budden claims rappers should pass a “Hip Hop SAT.”

Joe Budden says the bar is set too low for rappers and that rappers have to pass a hip hop SAT to be licensed.
“I’ve always felt like there had to be a hip-hop SAT test that you take before you get a record deal,” Budden said. “Some of you n-ggas have to answer some questions like: how do you hold a mic? They are part of the basics that you need to know.”
He added: “If everyone just knows everything, with no consequences, no trial and error, then everyone just does the same shit! No! And then you cloud the water.”
Budden had several controversial takes this week. His statement that he didn’t like Megan Thee Stallion because she allegedly did “terrible things” to several of his industry friends went viral.
Budden faced backlash for the comments and quickly apologized.
“My apologies to Meg,” Budden said. “Meg, the people she loves, her caregivers, her team, the people who have to support her through a trying trial. I heard back. I’ve had a few calls from women I love, respect and admire.”
