Joe Cornishthe ant man writer who is also known for Attack the block and The child who would be kingrevealed in an interview with playlist Some new ones details behind Edgar Wrights ant man exit. Although Wright has previously explained that he left because of creative differences, Cornish said the problems likely started much earlier.

“When Edgar and I first met WonderThey were in offices above a BMW showroom in Beverly Hills,” Cornish said. He described a store that was still having trouble finding its foot in the movie – that was before-iron man in the end. Cornish and Wright continued to work ant man for nearly a decade, but between their union with Marvel and production time, “the landscape changed completely.”

He also described Wright’s authorship, which developed during this period. During this period of his career he has went to direct hot fuzz and the comic adaptation Scott pilgrim vs the world. His style wasn’t Marvel’s, and Cornish thinks that may have been a reason for the exit. “Marvel didn’t really want the auteur film that Edgar and I wanted to make because at that point they had … this universe that the films needed to fit into. Edgar is an author. Edgar Wright makes Edgar Wright films. So in the end it didn’t happen, I think.”

It makes sense that Marvel, which is known for making movies that almost all look the same, would due to its VFX process, wouldn’t have been in love with what Wright dreamed up high. The idea that Marvel would say no to Wright is confusing as I can’t imagine asking anyone to do a less cool version of what Wright wanted. Anyway, they didn’t need each other: Ant-Man still walks (Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumaniadirected by Peyton Reed and written by Jeff Loveness, out February 17) as does Wright, who has a slate of films Projects that were pending after his double strike in 2021 Last night in Soho and music documentary The Sparks brothers.
