Josh Duhamel talks about becoming a father again and co-parenting with Fergie
“Fergie is a great woman. She really is,” Duhamel said. “And she took in Audra, you know, and it could be a lot worse.”
Josh Duhamel speaks openly about becoming a father again – and about having to raise his son Axl together with his ex Fergie.
While Appearance on The Jess Cagle Show on Sirius XMthe actor spoke about the fact that he is expecting a new child.
“To get back into it at this old age,” said Duhamel. “I’m doing it and I can’t wait. You know, for me that’s what it’s all about. I’m just destined to be a father.”
“I want, there’s nothing I enjoy more than watching my boy. I have a 10 year old who is the best thing I have ever done. And so I get to do it again, and hopefully again after that,” he continued. “And yes, we are very excited. Axl will be a great older brother. Audra will be a great mother. Very blessed.”
After Josh and Audra Duhamel announced their first pregnancy together, the actor’s ex-wife and mother of his son Axl, singer Fergie, congratulated the couple, writing, “I’m really happy for you🥰🥰 Axl can.” I can can’t wait to be a big brother.

Host Jess Cagle noted that their civil relationship is often rare, and Duhamel took a moment to praise his ex-wife.
“Fergie is a great woman. She really is,” Duhamel said. “And she took in Audra, you know, and it could be a lot worse.”
“That’s the thing, you never know how these things are going to turn out, but because she’s such a kind-hearted person, she really, truly is,” he continued. “She just loves Audra and is excited too. I can’t believe how excited she is for us.”
“You know, it’s like I said, it could be a lot worse, and I’ve seen it. I’ve experienced it. And, uh, luckily we have a really civil situation.”
Duhamel and Fergie married in 2009 and officially divorced in 2019 before the actor married model Audra Mari in 2022.
