TOP STORY: Juventus and Barcelona in talks over Memphis-Depay move

Juventus and Barcelona have held preliminary talks about a possible move Memphis Depay, as reported by ESPN. Now Sky Sports Italia have also linked Juventus to the Dutchman, stating that Serie A side want him on loan while Barca hope to sign Depay permanently.

The Old Lady still holds the Atletico de Madrid forward Alvaro Morata as her priority following his loan stint in Italy. However, they have so far proved unable to reach an agreement with Atleti as they didn’t want to spend more than €15-20m, Sky Sports say.

It comes after Juventus declined the possibility of redeeming the clause that would see them sign the Spaniard for €35m, having already spent €20m on the loan. Although Massimiliano Allegri still wants Morata, Juventus are now hoping to sign a striker on favorable economic terms.

In addition to Depay, Juventus also have Chelsea Timo Werner and Manchester United Anthony Martial on the list of forwards they watch.

In his first season at Barcelona after signing from Olympique Lyonnais, Depay made 37 appearances in all competitions, 10 of which came off the bench, scoring 13 goals and providing two assists.
