Kanye West took to social media to slam Adidas for selling knockoff Yeezy.
Ye has teamed up with Adidas and the brand makes its Yeezy slides, but says they’re trying to sell their own as well.
“YOU DRIVE THIS down the same road Kobe drove by,” he wrote alongside an image of the slide.
“Maybe I’m feeling this mamba spirit right now[.] To Kasper, I’m not into this blatant copying anymore[.] To all sneaker culture[.] To any ballplayer rapper or even if you work in the store[.] This is for anyone who wants to express themselves but feels like they can’t make themselves lose their contract or be called insane[.]”
Kanye continued, “Courage is not being afraid[.] Bravery overcomes your fear for your truth[.] That ye with the blue paint on my face[.] These shoes represent the disrespect people in power have for talent[.] This shoe is a fake Yeezy made by adidas themselves[.] I don’t talk to DC about it either[.] Kasper, come and talk to me, Happy Monday.”
Kanye deleted the Instagram post. Everyone is now waiting for the statement from Adidas.
