Kanye West is under investigation for robbery after a video of him grabbing a woman’s cellphone and throwing it in the street went viral.
“At 4:30 p.m. on Friday, January 27, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department was called to an intersection in Thousand Oaks, California. When they arrived, they learned that Kanye’ Ye’ West had taken her cell phone and thrown it on the street,” the statement said. “He wasn’t there when we arrived. Mr. West is being investigated for robbery. There is an ongoing investigation into this matter. Video footage of the incident was provided to officers,” the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement Sergeant Jason Karol.
Kanye was out on the street and upset when he realized a fan was filming him. He went to her car window, pounced on the phone and threw it in the middle of the street.
