Karrine “Superhead” Steffans has returned to the public spotlight and has made some snide remarks about “all” black women, Media Take Out has learned.
Karrine has been noticeably absent from social media in recent years. But earlier this year, she resurfaced — under a different name. Media Take Out confirmed that Karrine now goes by the name Elizabeth Ovesen.
And she had some choice words about black women — who she claims often question whether their hair is “real” or not.
Karrine has slammed black women who she claims often question whether their hair is “real.” The bestselling author wrote in response, “I’m a mixed race Caribbean woman from Puerto Rico, Danish, French and Jamaican. Black and white versions.”
Then adding some gravy to her comments, she said of the black women who criticized her: “I’m literally in no way like you so stop expecting me to have hair just like yours – assuming my shit can’t be real ”
She ended by telling black women that she wears, “No makeup. No wig. And I’m STILL killing you almost 44 years old.”
Karrine is an author, specifically of the Vixen book series. She has worked as an actress and as a video vixen, appearing in more than 20 music videos. In 2007 and 2008, Steffans visited a number of universities to speak about her involvement in the hip hop industry and her expectations of women.
