Kay Flock charged with federal murder and racketeering!!

Bronx rapper Kay Flock and seven other Bronx gang members Sev Side and Third Side have been charged with murder and racketeering, among other things.

“Over a period of several years, members of these gangs allegedly terrorized neighborhoods in the Bronx and Manhattan by killing and shooting other people,” US Attorney Damian Williams said in a Justice Department news release. “Through these charges, we will hold members of the Sev Side and Third Side responsible for using gun violence to torment our communities.”

The DOJ alleges that between 2019 and 2022, members of the Sev Side and Third Side banded together to terrorize their own and surrounding neighborhoods by indiscriminately shooting at members of rival street gangs. They also accused the gangs of promoting gun violence on social media and through music that referenced real acts of violence.

NYPD Commissioner Keechant L. Sewell said, “The deadly combination of gangs and illegal guns in New York City poses a serious threat to public safety in our city. Addressing this crisis is the NYPD’s top priority, and today’s indictments are another step in ridding our streets of violence and fear. I want to thank the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York and everyone else involved in this case who worked to make our city a safer place for all the people we serve.”
