Keke Palmer Baby Shower Pics: Baby Daddy Got ‘SYMPATHY BUT’ During Pregnancy – No More 6-Pack!

Keke Palmer’s ‘Once Upon A Baby’ baby shower took place in Los Angeles yesterday and was the place to be this weekend. It was a hop with music, dance and crafts, Media Take Out has confirmed.

Keke posted videos and pictures from the event on her Instagram page. The actress gave her 11.9 million followers a glimpse of the celebratory affair with numerous videos and photos, while showing off her growing baby bump.

Keke and her baby Darius Jackson were joined by a crowd of family and friends to celebrate the couple’s first child together.

A long time ago, in a land not so far away… the king and queen came together to play. The play turned into love as many sunsets rolled by. Now there is a prince who will arrive soon!’ Palmer wrote in the caption of her Instagram post.

It was noticeable that Darius gained a few kilos together with Keke. The handsome dad-to-be showed a clear “sympathy gut feeling.”

This is what Darius looked like before Keke got pregnant:

Men often reflect pregnancy symptoms such as weight gain, nausea, and back pain. But the phenomenon, sometimes referred to as Couvade syndrome, is often dismissed as psychosomatic, with no real physical explanation.

In a recent study, University of Wisconsin-Madison primatologist Toni Ziegler and her colleagues showed that two species of male monkeys also experience sympathetic pregnancy.

They weighed 14 male marmosets and 11 cotton-tailed tamarins (during their mates’ fifth and sixth month pregnancies, respectively). They chose these animals because the males are monogamous and do as much or more of the childcare as the mothers—just like some human fathers.

The animals gained up to 20% of their original body weight, the team reports in Biology Letters1.
