Keke Palmer opens up about the Darius Jackson drama

Keke Palmer is ready to engage in the discourse sparked by partner Darius Daulton Jackson’s online criticism of her.

In a current Interview with the cutPalmer was asked what her mentality was after learning about the online gossip centered around her motherhood and her body.

“Honestly, I think even before I had the baby I was pretty insecure,” she said. “Since the birth of my baby, I have become much more productive. We’re going to lean into that new body, and I think that’s the whole aura of what’s happening to me in this big boss era, when I get into my 30s, have my little boy, and just carry on broad as a young woman my wings off.”

The ‘Nope’ actress made it clear that she appreciates the support she’s getting from other moms online.

“Yes, young mothers. “You do,” she said. “Girls, if there’s one person on this earth who loves you for sure, it’s this baby. Be happy because there is no love like it. Someone who loves you like that, dammit, who cares?”

Palmer and Jackson had a falling out after a public affair Video of Usher serenading her at one of his shows in Las Vegas last week went viral.

In a now-deleted tweet, Jackson criticized Palmer, who wore a black thong bodysuit under a sheer dress in the video.

“It’s the outfit, but you’re a mom,” Jackson replied to the clip on twitter.

Despite receiving an immediate internet roast for his comments, Jackson doubled down on his performance.

“We live in a generation where a family man doesn’t want his children’s wife and mother to show their butts to please others and is told how much he hates,” Jackson said said in a follow-up tweet.

“This is my family and my representation. I have standards and morals for what I believe in. I am letting my case rest.”

Palmer and Jackson, who gave birth to their first child together in February, have not followed each other on Instagram or Twitter since the incident. In addition, Jackson deleted all photos and mentions of Palmer from his social networks.

The Akeelah and the Bee star didn’t provide any specifics on the current nature of her relationship with Jackson in the recent interview, instead mentioning that she’s focused on improving herself and encouraging others.

“As a young woman, I just keep unfolding my wings,” said the 29-year-old actress. “My freedom is simply to continue to inspire and encourage myself and anyone else who wants to walk this journey with me. Because we grow and change. It’s about loving who I am and loving what I’ve experienced and been through that brought me here. Great gratitude for me.”
