Kim Zolciak’s friends react to her divorce news
Friends close to Kim Zolciak are reacting to the news that she has filed for divorce from husband Kroy Biermann.
“Kim’s friends were shocked to find out that she and Kroy were having marital problems and were getting a divorce,” a source told Us Weekly. “It was something she really kept secret, even from her closest circle of friends… [They] I only found out about it from the news.”
“It’s heartbreaking for her because [their pals] “I really believed that Kim and Kroy had something very special and would last forever,” the insider continued. “Some of their friends think they’ll be able to work things out, others aren’t so sure.”
The couple dated for 11 years after meeting while filming Real Housewives of Atlanta. Kroy explained in the petition that their marriage was “irretrievably broken.”
“Being married on camera or being married normally, I don’t think there’s a difference,” Kroy told E! already in November. “And I think when things get tough, people don’t want to stay true to their vows and their partner. They’d rather say fuck it and try next time, but you have to stay true to the promises you made to that person when you stood in front of your friends and family.”
