Kimmel’s pet adoption event hopes, like Annie, we all rescue a Sandy

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — “Annie” kicks off its new Broadway season on October 11 at the Kimmel Cultural Campus.

In celebration of the popular musical and Annie’s adorable rescue dog, Sandy, Kimmel is hosting a very special pet adoption event this Sunday.

“Annie saves Sandy, and we’re trying to send that same special love and positive energy out,” says Fran Egler, Senior Director of Programming & presentations for the Kulturcampus Kimmel.

“You can stop by the Kimmel this Sunday October 2nd from 10am to 12pm and find your own Sandy for your Annie. Meet some amazing pups who could have a future in musical theater or just a future in your home.”

This event is held in partnership with the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PSPCA).

It happens in front of the Kimmel Center building.

Inside, you’ll find tons of fun with the Kimmel Cultural Campus’ Family Fundays program.

There will be entertainment, performances and hands-on activities on the plaza. This is also this Sunday from 10 am-12 pm.

A rescue named Addison plays Sandy in the show, which runs on stage October 11-16 at the Miller Theater.
