Kodak Black’s Lawyers Asks To Test Drugs Allegedly Found In His Possession

Kodak Black attorney Bradford Cohen is asking a third party to test the pills allegedly found in the rapper’s possession during his arrest last week.

“It’s impossible… to investigate a defense on behalf of [Kodak] without being able to inspect, weigh and independently test the substances,” Cohen said, per HHDX.

Kodak was arrested in Florida last night and is reportedly facing charges of drug trafficking, a crime carrying up to 20 years in prison.

His attorney argued that the independent drug test is “essential to his right to a fair hearing, his right to confrontation, his right to prepare a defense on his own behalf, his right to effective counsel and due process of justice ensure the protection afforded to him by the Sixth and Fourteenth Amendments to the United States Constitution and the Florida Constitution.”

Police reportedly found 31 oxycodone pills and nearly $80,000 in cash.
