Kylie Minogue is blowing her fans away as she unveils her new album ‘Tension’, saying it has helped her through ‘challenging times’

KYLIE Minogue has been blowing fans away as she prepares to release a brand new album later this year.
The 54-year-old pop icon said her new album Tension has helped her through “challenging times.”
“I would say it’s a mix of personal reflection, club abandonment and melancholy exhilaration,” Kylie said of the album.
It will be their first album since 2020’s Disco, which topped Little Mix at No. 1 and became the fastest selling album by a solo act in the UK this year.
Kylie said: “I started this album with an open mind and a blank page.
“Unlike my last two albums, there wasn’t a ‘theme’, it was about finding the heart, the fun, or the fantasy of that moment and always trying to live up to the song.”
“I wanted to celebrate the individuality of each song and immerse myself in that freedom.
“I would say it’s a mixture of personal reflection, club fun and melancholy exhilaration.”
The Aussie star said making the album was an uplifting experience during some difficult times.
She continued, “I’ve enjoyed being back in the studio with my colleagues, but have also been able to benefit from the remote recording we’ve all grown accustomed to – my mobile studio has never left me for a year and a half!”
“The album is a mix of songs I wrote and songs that really spoke to me.
“Creating this album has helped me navigate challenging times and celebrate the now.
“I hope it accompanies listeners on their own journey and becomes part of their story.”
The album is due out on September 22nd and features a record full of euphoric, powerful dancefloor bangers and sensual pop tunes.
“Tension” consists of eleven tracks of unabashed, pleasure-seeking, moment-seizing, happy pop songs.
The hypnotic electro of “Padam Padam” opens the album and will be the first single to be released from the record.
Kylie worked with a number of producers on the album, with seven of the tracks co-produced and co-written with her longtime collaborators Biff Stannard and Duck Blackwell.
She’s also worked on a track with top producer Lost Boy, who has whipped up hits for Ellie Goulding, Becky Hill and Mimi Webb.
The album will follow in autumn, with a major Arena Tour is planned for 2024, her first in six years.
The Sun revealed: “Kylie finally nailed it finished the album and now looks forward to her return to music.
“It’s kept under wraps and hardly anyone at her label has even heard of it.

“The first single will be released later this month.
“It’s classic for Kylie and sure to resonate with her fans.”
I shared in February that fans were having to wait longer for a new album after Kylie decided to write more songs for it.
