Lara Trump Is Speechless After Insult From Donald

Fox News host Martha MacCallum on Thursday asked Lara Trump to weigh in on one of the more controversial reactions her father-in-law and former President Donald Trump, had on Wednesday night before the premiere Ron DeSantis’ glitchy presidential campaign on Twitter.

MacCallum noted that DeSantis had a “pretty rough” start to his Twitter Spaces event. “You can’t hear anyone for the first 20 minutes or so.”

“And one of the things the former president tweeted [sic] out is this. He said, ‘Ron, my red button is bigger, better, stronger and working.’ And then he puts ‘truth’ in capital letters, exclamation points. ‘Your chat is not for my conversation with Kim Jong-un of North Korea, who will soon become my friend.’ Do you know what the former president meant? MacCallum asked.

“Well, I haven’t talked to him, Martha, necessarily about that tweet or rather that Truth. But, and so no, I don’t quite get what he means,” Lara Trump replied, adding:

“I assume he means Truth Social is working and Twitter clearly isn’t and maybe that’s a bit of a misnomer. When you advertise your presidential campaign like that to try something new, I guess you have to credit Ron DeSantis for it. But at the end of the day, I think people will consider this race.

They know who the tested leader is. They know who has brought us prosperity and that America is operating under Donald Trump. I think they want to go back to that more than ever.”

“Alright. Well, as we said, the new Fox polls show massive virality and Donald Trump leads at 53, Ron DeSantis in his 20s, and everyone else after that all lags behind. that low percentage,” MacCallum concluded and thanked Lara Trump for the above.

Trump’s “bigger, better, stronger and effective” post was widely mocked in the media. The New York Post ran a headline that read, “Trump criticized the bizarre ‘Red Button’ and Kim Jong Un’s comments in response to DeSantis’ launch in 2024.” The Post cited a tweet from Paula Bolyard, managing editor of PJMedia, as saying, “Someone needs to test Trump’s drugs. Is he taking the same geriatric medicine that Biden is taking? Does Trump think GOP voters want him to be friends with Kim Jung-un? What a hot mess he became.”
