LeBron James, Rick and Morty are coming to ‘MultiVersus’

Warner Bros. Games MultiVersus is a fun version of platform fighters like and brawl. It’s heading into open beta soon with a roster full of characters from a variety of WB franchises. Developer Player First Games is about to add one more to the mix: Space Jam: A New Legacy Star LeBron James.

The NBA icon will join the lineup when the open beta begins on July 26th. Not surprisingly, his offense involves using a basketball. He can throw a ball at opponents or dribble one around his feet to damage enemies. James can also block projectiles by building a fence. Surprisingly (or not, depending on how much you appreciated his acting skills space jam), James does not comment in-game. Actor John Bentley .

WB also announced that a few other fan-favorite characters will soon be joining the lineup as Rick and Morty are on the way. Many of Rick’s abilities are based on his portal gun. He will be available when Season 1 begins on August 9th. Morty, arriving later in the season, can smash into enemies and use grenades.

The trio is being added to an ever-growing and rather quirky list. Big names like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn and Bugs Bunny are all in, as is Arya Stark from game of Thrones and Shaggy and Velma out Scooby Doo. Tom and Jerry play as a single character instead of trying to choke each other.

The Iron Giant, the latest addition, is portrayed as a gentle creature in the film of the same name who only fights when absolutely necessary. in the MultiVersushe bashes opponents like the rest of the cast, which the developers justified by allowing the game to take place.

If that’s not weird enough for you, suggest Gizmo gremlins (you know, the cute one) and the Wicked Witch The Wizard of Oz also join the squad. For what it’s worth, these leaks come from the same person who revealed the game’s existence in the first place, who said LeBron, Rick, and Morty were multiversustied too.
