Lightning fans celebrate series closer

Tampa, Fla. (WFLA) – Bolts fans delivered thunderous Saturday night as they cheered for the Tampa Bay Lightning.

People flocked to Armature Works to watch team games against the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 7.

“Seeing the whole city pop up, I couldn’t ask for more, man,” Lightning fan Gunther Holenstin said. “The spirit of Tampa Bay is still alive.”

Fans go wild every time Bolts scores or plays on the field.

“Is crazy. People here, you could say it’s a hockey town, so whoever says it’s not – they don’t know anything about Tampa Bay and the Lightning,” one Bolts fan said.

Many people sat on the edge of their seats as they watched the two teams fight to the last second.

“Matthews is losing it. He couldn’t get past the goal. He just couldn’t get it,” Austin Eavis said. “We just destroy them now. We’re just killing them. “

The Lightning won by one point against the Maple Leafs. The final score is 2-1.

“We are only one step away from being three steps closer. What more could you ask for,” said another Bolts fan. Lightning fans celebrate series closer
