Lil Uzi Vert denies DJ Drama’s claim that ‘Just Wanna Rock’ is Philly’s new anthem

Lil Uzi Vert contradicts DJ Drama’s claim his song ‘Just Wanna Rock’ surpassed Meek Mill’s ‘Dreams & Nightmares’ as Philadelphia’s anthem.

“I do not believe that. This song has been around for a very long time, and this song is still just as relevant. I’ll just have to see, you know, in a few years or a decade or whatever,” he told The ShadeRoom.

“[Meek’s] a big homie from Philly, and that’s like one of my big homies. I just like feeding off the energy that he actually gives to even be able to produce or release this kind of music. Something like that, hopefully. Like shit, hopefully he would hope the same for me. But not yet – it’s too early to tell.”

Earlier this month, Drama told TMZ, “I think it’s fair to say that ‘I Just Wanna Rock’ … with all due respect … replaces ‘Dreams and Nightmares’ as the new Philadelphia anthem as the new Philadelphia Eagles anthem has this year. I look forward to hearing this song many, many times [throughout] Super Bowl weekend.”
