Lil Wayne reveals he was terrified of working with Eminem!!

Lil Wayne is one of the hottest rappers in the country, but he says he was afraid to work with Eminem on their 2009 collaboration Drop the World.

“Actually, when I called Eminem for a song, I was scared,” Wayne told the New York Times. “It’s a monster. He must have the same as I have with words. We can’t get them out of our heads. Every meaning, every aspect of it. Things that rhyme, we hear it. I already know the gift and the curse he has. And I love hearing him sum it up.”

He continued, “When I was on The Tonight Show, I played Pictionary. And my thing was Harry Potter. So I drew a pot and they got it. I drew a man with a face and put a strand of hair around him. They said, “Wait, he’s hairy.” I’m something like Harry Potter. We plan our words. At any time.”

Drop the World is Wayne’s third collaboration with Eminem. In June 2010, the RIAA awarded the single its first platinum record. Last year, the RIAA recognized the song’s five million units sold in the US since its release.
