‘Line of Duty’ star Vicky McClure marries longtime fiancé Jonny Owen while co-stars attend secret wedding

‘LINE of Duty’ and ‘This is England’ star Vicky McClure married film director Jonny Owen while surrounded by her co-stars yesterday.
The 40-year-old actress announced the news on Welsh radio last night, streaming a photo with her new husband.
Vicky and Jonny, 54, joined his radio presenter Katie Owen live from the wedding reception on BBC Wales and declared: “We’re married!”
Vicky also revealed that Katie was forced to leave the wedding early to host her show on the radio, adding: “We had the most amazing special day and are disappointed you had to come back but we are so proud of you .”
“You miss a lot of dancing, but we can do that again.”
The couple tied the knot in Nottingham and Vicky looked stunning in a strapless white dress with lace detailing.
They were joined by Vicky’s Line of Duty co-stars Martin Compston and Adrian Dunbar, who met for a celebratory photo, posing with champagne glasses and flashing big smiles.
DI Matthew “Dot” Cottan actor Craig Parkinson, football manager Rob Page, Everton manager Sean Dyche and TV presenter Paddy McGuinness were also among the couple’s star-studded guest list.
Vicky and Jonny met while filming Svengali, a film Jonny wrote in 2012.
She told BBC Wales she first spoke to him on the phone before they even met and she “just knew” Jonny was the one.
Welsh news site Nation of Cymru reported she said on BBC Radio Wales: “When we first spoke it was on the phone. When I ended the call, I just knew.
“I’ve never loved anyone more than Jonny.”
Jonny confirmed the feelings were immediately reciprocated as he chatted to his daughter Katie.
He said: “I remember on a weekend break from filming (Svengali) we were walking down the Southbank (in London) and going to the Tate Modern and she turned to me and asked me if I’d like to go instead to go to the pub.”
“And I was like, well! I was like, ‘What a girl’.”
“I think we almost said at the same time, ‘I fancy you!’ It just kept going from there and we haven’t been apart since that moment.
“I was going through a divorce at the time and had been separated for seven or eight months. I think we went from “I like you” in the pub to “I love you” in about 10 seconds.”
The couple got engaged on Christmas morning 2017 and Vicky shared photos of her engagement ring during a romantic stroll later that day.

Vicky added: “We went home together for the first time on Christmas Eve and spent Christmas morning together.
“He asked the question over a cup of tea – at 8:30 we went to the bubbles.”
