TOP STORY: Napoli want to extend Osimhen contract
Napoli are trying to fend off interest in a striker Victor Osimhen by rewarding him with a new contract, they say Calciomercato.
Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Chelsea are reportedly all in the running to sign the 24-year-old and with some clubs reportedly willing to double his current €4.5million-a-season salary, Napoli is president Aurelio De Laurentiis’ goal now is to extend the Nigeria international’s current tenures.
As well as a significant salary increase, the Serie A champions are also reportedly set to include a release clause in the contract, which will only allow Osimhen to leave the club for €160m.
Osimhen’s 23 goals in 30 league games were a key factor in Napoli’s first goal scudetto Victory in 33 years and they hope the recognition of his form will persuade him to stay in Italy for at least another season.

11.11 BST: Manchester United won’t spend £55m to sign the Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount in summer says The Independent.

10.07 BST: Real Madrid attacker Marco Asensio Is in advanced talks to join Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent, sources told ESPN.
The Spain international, whose contract expires in the summer, received a contract extension offer at Madrid that financially convinced him, but after a season in which he started less than half of the club’s La Liga games, he decided to carry on.
Sources tell ESPN that Aston Villa, Juventus and AC Milan have also shown interest in the Mallorcan in recent months but the PSG proposal is currently the one that tempts Asensio the most.
The good relationship between Asensio’s agent Jorge Mendes and PSG’s sporting director Luis Campos has been key in the negotiations, sources added.
09:00 BST: FC Bayern Munich’s Bundesliga title celebrations were quickly overshadowed by the fallout from the club’s decision to sack former goalkeepers Oliver Kahn and Hasan Salihamidžić from their positions as top manager.
Bayern clinched the German championship in the final minutes of the season on Saturday when Jamal Musiala secured a late goal in a 2-1 win over Cologne and put the team ahead of Borussia Dortmund on goal difference.
Shortly thereafter, the club announced that its board of directors had decided to sack Kahn as managing director and Salihamidžić as sporting director with immediate effect.
