Logan Pauls divides Twitter with his criticism of ‘NOPE’ movie

Logan Paul has taken to Twitter to voice his criticism of the recently released film Nope, and has once again divided the internet.
Nope hit theaters on July 22 and looks set to be a box-office hit. It boasts A-list actors, fantastic visuals, and an intricate plot that might have felt close to home for some. For many, Nope is a love or hate movie that blatantly calls out people who will risk their lives for “that shot” and put lives at risk just to get views.
For youtuber, wrestler and social media star Logan Paul, this movie definitely wasn’t a movie for the history books. He didn’t like it that much he went to twitter to explain why he thought “NOPE is one of the worst movies I’ve seen in a long time”. The bold statements that followed shared Twitter’s comments section, leaving some interesting discussions and a few hilarious comments.
Logan Paul took to Twitter and created a thread about his confusion and dislike for the new sci-fi horror release. However, the comments section began to dig into Paul’s critique, clarifying the irony behind his critique of a film that essentially explores what made Paul famous.
Writer Richard Newby commented, “This is ironically hilarious because thematically the film is partly about him and people like him”. Many agreed, alluding to the controversial video Paul posted of him filming a Japanese forest nicknamed “Suicide Forest.” He appears to have taken the actions required in the film himself in his rise to fame.
Others decided to ask if he had even seen the right movie, and many suggested that it might not have been an easy movie to watch but the plot was easy enough to understand.
In his Twitter thread, Paul explored the plot holes and questionable plot, which some commenters inherently agreed with. It seems this movie isn’t for everyone, but it might be the slap in the face some creators need before they put themselves in jeopardy for that “opera shoot.”
