Loki Season 2 is getting a new release date window from Owen Wilson

Exactly when is not known Loki Season 2 will premiere on Disney+, but Owen Wilson recently provided a release window for the MCU series.

Disney+ recently removed the release windows of the MCU’s Phase 5 shows, signaling a spate of delays for a number of shows, including Loki Season 2.

While Marvel Studios has yet to update LokiAs of the release date, speculation has started as to when the show will be released on Disney+.

Loki Season 2 release date window revealed

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Loki Star Owen Wilson, who plays Mobius on the show, shared a quick release update on Season 2.

When you talk about it Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania‘s post-credits, where he appeared alongside Loki and Jonathan Majors’ Victor Timely, Wilson said he believes the series will premiere on Disney+ “End of summer or September:”

“I guess [Quantumania] got kind of a little take of tom hiddleston and me and jonathan majors from ‘Loki’ season two. And I think that’ll come out at the end of the summer or September.”

Loki Season 2 was originally announced with a broader one “Summer 2022” release window, but that plan may have been scrapped when the streaming service changed its release window to “Soon.”

Wilson’s comment is consistent with the earlier Bespin Bulletin report Loki Season 2 is aiming for a release “much later in the summer”, which means it could be released in August or September.

Will Marvel Loki Season 2 Delay Again?

Though Marvel has slammed Owen Wilson multiple times for accidentally sharing spoilers, the studio could give the actor a pass this time, as many are confused as to exactly when Loki Season 2 premieres on Disney+.

A September release for Loki Season 2 would be pretty fitting if Marvel Studios would release Secret invasion for the first time this year. It was previously rumored that the Samuel L. Jackson-led series will premiere on Disney+ in either May or June.

If true, then a late summer release window would give more breathing room between the two shows.

As of this writing, it remains to be seen if Marvel Studios will delay further Loki Release of Season 2. Considering the behind-the-scenes drama under the Marvel banner and the delays across the board, there’s reason to be concerned about a potential delay.

However, given that, Owen Wilson appears to be in the know Loki Based on the Season 2 release window, it’s safe to assume that the upcoming Disney+ show will not experience any delay from the late summer release window.
