Lollapalooza India announces 2024 return dates after successful first festival

Lollapalooza India returns to Mumbai in 2024.

The multi-genre music festival makes its comeback next year on January 27-28 at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse Lawns.

Lollapalooza India 2024 ticket sales begin on August 23 with a limited exclusive presale for RuPay credit card holders.

General ticket sales for the festival open to everyone from August 27th.

Earlier this year, the festival brought together different music genres including pop, rock, hip-hop, indie, EDM and techno.

There were also several international and local acts from artists such as Imagine Dragons, The Stokes, Diplo, The Wombats, AP Dhillon, Kayan, Divine and The F16s.

“Lollapalooza India proved to be a breath of fresh air on the live music landscape, introducing many innovations that were really appreciated at the first-ever Asia edition in India,” said Owen Roncon, head of live music at BookMyShow, in a statement.

“The overwhelming response and the unparalleled avalanche of emotions that erupted among a swarming audience at the inaugural edition makes this announcement of a second edition of Lollapalooza India 2024 even more special for us,” he added.

Like the 2023 edition, next year’s Lollapalooza will be produced and promoted by entertainment and ticketing platform BookMyShow along with global producers Perry Farrell and C3 Presents.

The 2023 edition was a hit among Indian fans.

“My children are thrilled,” said a mother who attended the event with her family The Independent earlier this year. “When we found out that Imagine Dragons was coming to India, my husband and I had to book a family trip to Mumbai.

“The best part is that we had no idea our local artists were so talented. Not only did we catch our kids’ favorite band live, we also saw the F16s, Divine, AP Dhillon and The Yellow Diary. Everyone absolutely made it.”

Lollapalooza India 2024 lineup details are yet to be announced.

However, industry insiders said The Independent that Dua Lipa is expected to return to India as a headliner.
