It was later revealed they had signed up for Celebrity Ex on the Beach – and now some people have questioned the coincidence of the timing.

One person wrote further about The Sun’s exclusive story revealing Paige and Finn’s next move Reddit: “So that’s why they broke up?”

Someone else replied: “That was my first thought. Break up amicably, get back together on the show, boom, more exposure and renewed interest in their relationship and career.”

And a third added: “That was a thought I briefly had too.”

A TV insider previously told The Sun: “There are some Love Island exes who never want to share the screen with each other again.”

“These two aren’t like that – their split actually seemed almost amicable – but it’s still going to be awkward being together again on another reality show.”

“Maybe we’ll have a romance, although I probably wouldn’t hold my breath.”

Sources revealed the Love Island couple split after deciding it was “not forever” – shocking fans.
