The safe islanders then had to choose who to bring home, namely Andre and Charlotte.

At the time of the discharge, Andre and Catherine had just met and developed a romantic relationship that was beginning

But the shock of Andre’s departure brings Catherine to tears.

Tonight the commercial real estate agent says through tears: “[He’s] just gone… In no time at all. I never thought it would be André.” She adds: “It’s just hard. It ends abruptly.”

After leaving the villa with Charlotte, the Love Islander says: “It doesn’t feel good to be kicked out of the villa tonight but I’ve enjoyed the experience.” Something I never thought I’d have I would ever do it, and yeah man it was awesome.”

Some Love Island fans were left confused by the islanders who were in the bottom six and who had to go.

Some even went so far as to say the show was “fixed.”

One said on Twitter: “At least now we know the votes are rigged because that was the devil.”

“Fixed #LoveIsland,” said a second.

A third agreed: “I hate this show it’s fucking manipulated. There’s no way people chose Molly over Catherine. Let’s be 100% honest.”

“Cathrine in the top three is crazy…that shii is rigged and making me stop watching frankly because wtf,” tweeted a fourth.

ITV told us: “To be perfectly clear, our programs are not fixed. To claim that as broadcasters we knowingly deceive our audiences by manipulating the outcome of our programming is untrue and a very serious and defamatory allegation.”

“Broadcasting is strictly regulated and we have a duty not to materially mislead or intentionally mislead our audiences. All of our programs are subject to strict compliance.”

The Islanders stay on their toes in tonight’s episode as they also face a shocking daytime rebound.

Ella receives a text message telling the islanders to gather at the fire pit, fresh off the back of the landfill.

In an unexpected twist, they are then told that there will be a reunion on the day and it is now the boys turn to make a decision.

I'm 45 but people think I'm 10 years younger - five mistakes I see in everyone
I'm 52 and I love wearing string bikinis - people may judge but I don't care

That means Sammy has to decide who to hook up with after meeting both Jess Harding and bombshell Leah Taylor.

Love Island airs tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
