Love Island star landed role in Barbie movie thanks to dating show superfan Margot Robbie

Former love island Star Chris Taylor has revealed the unlikely way he was cast in Greta Gerwig’s upcoming movie Barbie Movie.

Barbie Executive Producer is Margot Robbie, who also stars in the film.

The actor is a self-confessed actor love island fanatic and was spotted taking selfies with former islanders Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Davide Sanclimenti and Liberty Poole BarbiePremiering in London on July 12.

Also walking the pink carpet was Season 5 contestant Taylor, who confirmed he has a brief cameo in the film.

Speak with LAD Bible, Taylor said he lives with his former competitors Michael Griffiths and Jordan Hames, who Robbie met at the London premiere of their 2020 DC Comics film. Birds of Prey: And the Fantastic Emancipation of a Harley Quinn.

“There is a kind of backstory. “The boys went to a premiere,” he said. “They met Margot, and afterwards Margot called her and said, ‘Come to the after party!’ because she is obsessed with it love island To the right.

“Well, I was living with the boys at the time, so I said ‘I’m coming’ and she knew who we all were. She’s watching the show,” he explained.

Taylor revealed that his character in the film lives up to the statement, “And the Nobel Prize in Horses goes to Ken!”

Robbie previously spoke about her admiration for love island in 2021 and said it was “a big part of my life”.
