Fincham – who won the 2018 series of the ITV show alongside Dani Dyer, 27 – underwent a blood test and was also held on suspicion of careless driving and driving without insurance.

The father-of-one was released pending investigation until November 26.

Fincham was stopped on the A2 near his home in Swanley, Kent, on August 26.

The arrest came weeks before he is due to star in the All Stars edition of the show.

He is one of the former contestants who will appear at the Love Island Games in Fiji from November 1st.

Fincham was charged with drug driving in 2021, but the case was dropped.

Last night a source close to him said he used private numbers rather than fake numbers and denied taking drugs.

Fincham’s lawyer Conor Johnstone of MAJ Law said: “Mr Fincham has not been charged with drug driving and denies any drug use.

“At this stage there is no evidence that Mr Fincham has exceeded the legal limit and we hope his blood results will prove the same.”
