Mack Maine Denies Gillie’s Claim that He Had Lil Wayne Shook

Mack Maine responded to Gillie Da Kid’s claim that Lil Wayne was terrified when he saw Gillie at Jackson State University.

Above It’s the Tricky Podcast with Raquel HarperGillie was explaining his past drama with Lil Wayne and Cash Money Records, a label he was signed to in the early 2000s. Weezy and Gillie exchanged songs with each other. after claiming he wrote most of the songs on Wayne’s 2004 album Tha Carter.

While there may have been tension between them nearly 20 years later, Gillie said he saw Tunechi recently at a Jackson State University event and confirmed Wayne was shaken and fled the scene.

“Yeah, but no,” the veteran rapper turned podcaster explained to Harper about his interactions with Wayne. “He looked up [and] I was on the doorstep [he showed that Wayne offered his hand for a handshake]and [he] get out of there. Tell the truth.”

Mack Maine, who was also present at the JSU event, caught Gillie’s comments and called it cap. The president of Young Money Records jumped to his Instagram page on Friday (May 13) and shared a video of the encounter. In the clip, it looks like Weezy and Gillie exchanged a pleasant handshake, but it seems Tunechi is unafraid.

“[B]oy boy boy Hollywood sh*t crazy!! Check out both videos,” Mack wrote in the caption along with a few tears of joy emoji to show off his laughter.” And tell @rocktopics you know I love you but avoid telling us. I know the name of your show is ‘It’s Tricky’ but don’t let them fool you! ”

Mack also suggests that Gillie is lying about ghostwriting Wayne on Tha Carter.

“And if you wrote Carter 1, who wrote Carter 2 and 3 and 4 and 5,” he typed, adding more emojis of joy and tears and blue caps to indicate limits (or ” lie”). He also added the hashtag, #BojangleNewEraAssNikka.

Gillie has expressed that he would love to interview Mack Maine about his popular show Million Dollars Worth of the Game audio file. Let’s hope this happens so the two men can work out their differences.
