Major Disney ticket changes spell bad news for theme park fans after CEO Bob Iger’s return

DISNEY World may still be the most magical place on earth, but it’s only gotten more expensive.
A new pricing scheme was rolled out at the company’s four theme parks in the Orlando, Florida area on Thursday.

This is the second time prices have increased this year, Fox Business reported.
The move comes just weeks after Disney’s former CEO Bob Iger returned to the top of the company.
While admission prices have varied by date since 2018, the new program includes higher prices for Disney’s most sought-after facilities, Fox Business reported.
A day pass to the Magic Kingdom, Florida’s most popular Disney park, now costs between $124 and $189, Walt Disney World Magazine reported.

The $189 price is for a nine-day period around Christmas and New Years only.
A day at EPCOT now costs between $114 and $179. The lowest price at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is $124, but tickets there are also $179.
The cheapest option in the area is Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where prices have not increased.
There it still costs between 109 and 159 dollars for a day pass.
These were the ticket prices for all Disney parks in Florida up to this week.
The company has also increased the prices of some of its annual passes.
The Incredi Pass increased by $100 to $1,399.
The Sorcerer Pass is now $969, up $70.
The cost of a pirate pass increased by $50 to $749.
The price of a Pixie Pass intended only for Florida residents has not increased. It’s still only $399.
Disney World did not respond to repeated requests for comment.
