England continue their qualification for Euro 2024 on Friday evening and meet Malta away.
Gareth Southgate’s side have gotten off to a great start, beating their two most likely rivals for a place in the top two, Ukraine and Italy, while Malta have lost to both the latter and North Macedonia – who the Three Lions face will compete next week.
At the end of this round, Southgate expects to have 12 points and be a big step closer to qualifying for next summer’s finals in Germany.
But the first part of that task is to be professional and to achieve victory in Malta, even if the game comes at the end of another long season that started just a few days ago for some of the team’s stars.
Here you will find everything you need to know.

What’s new on the England team?
It’s not yet clear whether the Man City stars will be in the game given their Champions League efforts – and the celebrations that followed – but it’s likely that Gareth Southgate will give some players who aren’t regulars a chance will offer.
Marc Guehi could be earning his fourth cap in defence, and Crystal Palace team-mate Ebe Eze is hoping for his senior debut.
Jude Bellingham has just completed his transfer to Real Madrid but won’t play this break as he recovers from injury.
MAL – Bonello, Attard, Borg, Apap, Corbalan, Muscat, Guillaumier, Yankam, Mbong, Jones, Satariano
ENG – Pickford, Trippier, Guehi, Maguire, Shaw, Rice, Gallagher, Eze, Saka, Kane, Maddison
The result is of course undisputed, so it’s all about how relaxed and intense England can be in the wet conditions. Malta 0-4 England.
