A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman and three children were injured at a home.
Police were rushed to Denbighshire, Wales, in the early hours of Friday morning after a “domestic argument”.
A 33-year-old woman and three children were taken to hospital with injuries.
The woman remains in critical but stable condition while one of the children sustained serious injuries.
Police confirmed that the other two children have since been released.
A 27 year oldwas arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in custody.
Police confirmed they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the horror.
They also said the incident was being handled “in isolation” and there was no “ongoing threat” to the wider community.
Detective Chief Inspector Chris Bell of the Force Major Incident Team said: “An incident is being investigated into what is clearly a serious and worrying matter and we fully appreciate the concern it has raised in the local community.
“Detectives are conducting an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of what happened and the arrested man remains in police custody.
“Calm down patrols are taking place in the area by officers from the Neighborhood Police Team.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank residents in the Clawdd Poncen area for their continued support, understanding and patience while officers remain in the area.”
