Tampa, Fla. (WFLA) – A Wauchula man died early Saturday morning after his car plunged into a pond, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Soldiers said the 26-year-old was traveling north on Boyd Cowart Road at 5:15 a.m. when he ran a stop sign at Heard Bridge Road into the Mosaic property.

After crossing the property, the man’s car drove up to a high ground and flew through the air, according to the FHP.
