And one man who did just that has revealed how he turns items in his carry-on luggage into a makeshift travel pillow.

The video was posted to TikTok by flight comparison website Skyscanner.

“One of our favorite things to do is bring a really thick quilted jacket and stuff it in the bag.

“Then on the plane I lift the armrest of the chair three quarters up and use it as a cushion.”

Footage showed the man stuffing his coat into a sleeping bag.

He then moved the armrest into the air before tucking his makeshift travel pillow between the armrest and his head.

He added, “That’s how I personally achieve the best.” sleep.”

As most UK holidaymakers are likely to pack a soft coat and sleeping bag, the hack is completely free.

One person wrote: “Love these tips, long flights can be very tiring at times.”

While another added: “I like the little side armrest trick, as a tall person I’m usually just screwed until I land.”
