Man shot outside Stenton Park Recreation Center in Philadelphia’s Logan neighborhood

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Philadelphia police say a man is fighting for his life after he was shot at a recreation center in the city’s Logan area.

It happened just after 9 p.m. on the 4500 block of North 17th Street at the Stenton Park Recreation Center.

The male victim, believed to be in his 20s, was found lying on a path near the recreation center, according to Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector Scott Small.

Chopper 6 was overhead when officers cordoned off an area of ​​the park.

According to police, the victim was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was placed in extremely critical condition.

No arrests were made.
