Follow live coverage as Manchester United take on Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League today.

Manchester City are the reigning champions after beating Liverpool to the finish line in a neck-and-neck race for the 2021/22 title. A comeback win on the final day against Aston Villa secured Pep Guardiola’s side their fourth title in five years.

Jurgen Klopp’s Reds were on their way to a quadruple last season but had to settle for just one FA Cup and Carabao Cup win and, like in 2020, will be looking to lift the title again.

It was a dramatic season for Chelsea a year ago as Roman Abramovich has now been replaced by Todd Boehly as west London owner. He will want an immediate return on his hefty investment at Stamford Bridge, while Tottenham, back in the Champions League, are also keen to start again.

However, it’s not all about the action at the top as Fulham, Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest have been promoted to the top flight for 2021/22 and hope to hold their own against the best of English football and avoid relegation avoid.

We bring you all the action and updates from today’s game in the live blog below:

Wolves, meanwhile, will be relatively relaxed after securing their survival in the Premier League with a 1-0 win over Aston Villa last weekend. Tonight’s game represents a free goal but Julen Lopetegui will look to spoil the party as they eye a repeat of last season’s away win against Manchester United after not winning at Old Trafford since 1980.

With just four league games left, there will no doubt be plenty of nerves in and around the United dressing room as it seeks to secure a place in the top four. With back-to-back defeats and Liverpool breathing down their necks, tonight’s game feels like a must-win for Erik Ten Hag’s side. They will, however, be happy to return to Old Trafford and look to build on their 26-game unbeaten home record in all competitions and put pressure back on Newcastle United, who previously drew with Leeds United on Saturday.
