A body was found Thursday morning in a transition lane of the 110 Freeway in South Los Angeles under “unknown circumstances,” according to the California Highway Patrol.
A report of a man lying on the shoulder of the freeway was obtained at 6:36 am. Officials found the man on a transition lane from the 110 southbound to the 105 westbound, CHP officer Moises Marroquin said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
That portion of the freeway was closed for about two and a half hours while the scene was being edited and the body removed, Marroquin said.
Further details were not initially available. Marroquin said he didn’t know the condition of the body or if detectives were investigating.
