Marvel Announces Planet of the Apes Comic Team, Reprint of Old Comics

Fox is gearing up to start the movies again in 2024, which means we’ll see how the series is now that Disney has a firm grip on it. And with Disney comes Marvel, which means some new comics.

Starting next year, Marvel will be releasing a brand new one planet of monkeys continuing series by writer David F. Walker (Bitter Root, Power Man & Iron Fist) and artist Dave Wachter (Weapons from Shadow Valley, Aliens: Aftermath). The comic was originally announced back in June, with Editor-in-Chief CB Cebulski saying at the time that the new comic “will push the boundaries of what this beloved franchise has to offer through bold comic book storytelling, and we look forward to setting foot on this one.” new adventures!“. Ahead of the release of the new installment, the monkeys will be doing covers for several Marvel comics throughout February, including Venom Avenger, and Miles MoralesSpiderman.

As a comic series planet of monkeys has been published by numerous comic book publishers over the years, including Boom! comics recently. Marvel acquired the property back in 1974 under its Curtis Magazines imprint, which ran from that year through 1977. During this time, Marvel also published comic book adaptations of what were then the first five monkeys Films and color adaptations of the two original films. These 1970s comics published under the title adventures of the planet of the Apes, will be reprinted and published throughout 2023.

Currently this is new monkeys Comic is the only one from Marvel to be published.
