Marvel is getting the ‘Pokémon Go’ treatment thanks to Niantic

Marvel has teamed up with Pokemon Go Developer Niantic to create an augmented reality mobile game that will be available worldwide next year. in the wondrous world of heroes, According to a Niantic blog post, you’ll be able to create your own superhero in a Marvel game for the first time.
Players will be able to forge their hero’s identity and origin story. They are tasked with patrolling their neighborhoods to thwart crimes, take on missions, and fend off interdimensional threats and super villains. As you level up, you will unlock more gear and skills. You can team up with your friends, as well as players like Spider-Man, Captain America, and Wolverine. It seems that players can also visit multiple alternate realities – at least in the virtual sense.
If you are interested in trying the game, you can pre-register on the Wonderland of Heroes Website. As is often the case, Niantic will roll out the game gently in select markets before launching it more broadly.
