McDonald’s discontinues fan-favorite menu item and customers are petitioning for its comeback

MCDONALD’S fans are begging for the return of a ‘mighty’ food.
The fast-food giant has tested several new products over the years, only a few of which are permanent on the menu.
While it’s incredibly common, it can be difficult for guests to accept that their new favorites won’t be available forever.
However, the Mighty Wings were a little different.
The bone-in chicken wings were coated in a flavorful breading and sold from 1990 to 2004. From 2013 to 2014 they experienced a brief comeback.
Customers could order either a three-, five-, or ten-piece meal.

Last month, SiriusXM host Eric Alper asked his followers on Twitter which ones they thought would be the last ones left.
In response, a person called: “McDonald’s mighty wings. You were perfect.”
This belief is held by many who still yearn for a different kind of wings. so much so that there is even one petition to get her back.
It garnered 784 signatures to get McDonald’s attention, with one supporter even saying the wings were the only reason they ever went to the restaurant.
“You’re a hit. You can never go wrong with wings and fries,” one person wrote.
Another said: “I miss those mighty wings so much… wish they would at least live to an annual like the McRib.”
GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN
While the Mighty Wings have been hugely popular, there seems to be one menu item that all McDonald’s fans agree needs to come back: the snack wrap.
The chicken snack wraps consisted of grilled or fried chicken, lettuce, cheese and gravy, all wrapped in a tortilla.
It was on the menu for 10 years from 2006 to 2016 before being removed from most places before being officially banned in 2020.
On Twitter it seems like every day someone is asking McDonald’s to bring the packaging back.
“I would do anything for a McDonald’s snack box,” someone said tweeted this month.
Someone else the next day wrote“McDonald’s, can you bring back the snack wrapper?! PLEASEEEEE.”

There’s good news, as another popular fast food joint has introduced its own take on the snack wrap.
Remember those other McDonald’s meals that are gone forever.
