Officers said officers were called to the fast food restaurant near Crain Freeway and Carver Road around 4:45 a.m. to reports of a shooting.
Three other employees inside the restaurant at the time heard a noise, gunshots and broken glass, Anderson said. Several shots were fired.
It is not clear where the shooting took place on the premises. The restaurant’s drive-in window was visibly damaged on Friday morning.
Anderson said the suspect was outside the restaurant and opened fire on the building before fleeing on foot. Identifying information such as the suspect’s race or gender is not yet available.

The company said it is advising and supporting the victim’s colleagues and is cooperating with the investigation.
Additional details, such as the motive behind the shooting, were not immediately released.
