McDonald’s fans rage over the loss of discontinued sweet treat – and there’s no plans to bring it back

CUSTOMERS at a major fast food restaurant have expressed frustration with a discontinued menu item.

McDonald’s fans have taken to social media to urge the burger franchise to bring back their famous cinnamon donut.

The cinnamon donut hasn’t been on the McDonald’s menu for a while, with other donut options taking its place over the years.

In 2019, the fast-food giant brought back cinnamon donut sticks, which were popular with customers but only had a limited shelf life Business Insider.

As The US Sun previously reported, McDonald’s also brought back its glazed pull-apart donut last year.

Also this year, McDonald’s and Krispy Kreme have partnered at approximately 160 McDonald’s locations in Kentucky to add donuts to their breakfast menu.

There appear to be no plans for a return for fans of the cinnamon donuts, and some are furious about it.

The official McDonald’s Twitter account has been sent a simple tweet on May 31st and encourages customers to reply with their orders.

“Everyone wants something from McDonald’s,” the fast-food giant wrote.

Responses poured in almost immediately, with a few people expressing cravings for the cinnamon donuts.

“I miss McDonald’s cinnamon donuts…” said one user written down.

Another frustrated added: “Yeah, a damn cinnamon donut you hired.”

The thread continued with a plethora of requests for popular McDonald’s items from the past.

One fan pleaded for the return of the fast-food giant’s snack wraps, which disappeared at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 food network.

“You know we’ve been wanting this for years!!!” they exclaimed, including a picture of a tray full of the famous wraps.

McDonald’s replied, “This is the one I’ve been waiting for.”

Another customer even asked for McDonald’s pizza, which hasn’t been available since the late 1990s, they say Mashed.

“This brings me back,” the official McDonald’s account reads alongside a picture of the company’s pizza box.
