Meek Mill says he’s leaving Twitter just weeks after Elon Musk took over the platform.
“I will be turning off twitter forever and going to a new social where there are more good vibes based on building, creativity and motivation,” he wrote. “Whoever runs my shit, turn this off forever… I’m taking over my YouTube account to replace me interacting with supporters! Too many bots and weird people.”
Elon Musk took over and immediately started charging people for blue checks. Since Musk took over, there has also been a surge of hate speech.
On Sunday, the billionaire asked his Twitter followers if he should step down as CEO of the social media site. 57.5 percent said to stop with more than 17 million votes. Musk seems to appreciate the results.
Twitter users are now waiting for Musk to officially announce his departure from the social media platform. Users have tried to find other alternatives.
