‘Meg 2: The Trench’ trailer offers more Jason Statham vs big shark

The sequel to Giant fish movie 2018 The mega, Meg 2: The Trench sees the return of Jason Statham as rescue diver Jonas, who, based on his previous experiences, has evidently not given up water entirely. Instead, he’s once again fighting for his life against some impossibly large sea nightmares that seem capable of devouring any obstacle humans throw at them without a thought.
In some scenes that look like he does, he even dives down to where they live underwater strove for more action than horror.
The film also stars alongside Statham Mega Newcomers Wu Jing, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Skyler Samuels and Cliff Curtis. Other returning cast members include Sophia Cai as Meiying Zhang, Page Kennedy as DJ, and big CGI sharks as Everyone’s Trouble.
Meg 2: The Trench hits theaters on August 4th.
