PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — Election Day is fast approaching and all eyes are on Pennsylvania.
Actress Kerry Washington joined forces with Black Voter Matter in Philadelphia on Sunday and spoke in Logan. She expressed concern about key issues affecting the midterm elections.
“This election has things on the ballot that are critical to the survival of this country,” Washington said.
The candidates made several stops in the region on Sunday.

dr Mehmet Oz was in Washington Crossing, Attorney General Josh Shapiro and Lieutenant Governor John Fetterman were in Newtown, Bucks County, and Doug Mastriano was in South Philadelphia.
“I worry that we brought our children into this world at a time when they have fewer opportunities,” Shapiro said.
“Each of us has a responsibility to get off the touchline, get into the game and do our part,” he added.
Mastriano addressed a room of supporters in South Philadelphia.
“Day one, we’re going to be a law-and-order state of Philadelphia, you’re going to see how I deal with criminals here,” Mastriano said.
The candidates expressed concerns about democracy, crime and one of the top issues for voters, according to an ABC News poll, the economy.
“What do we need to do at the federal level to give job creators the confidence they need to grow our economy,” Oz asked.
Abortion is also a critical issue of this election.

“Dr. Oz believes local political officials should be part of the decision,” Fetterman said.
Maine Senator Susan Collins discussed abortion during a roundtable with Oz.
She believes there should be exceptions and that the decision should be made locally by the state and between a woman and her doctor.
In Pennsylvania, polling stations open at 7 a.m. on Election Day.
